Forum Olivença Manifesto Portugal OlivencaOnline Informação Olivença Campanha por Olivença Imigrantes "DOSSIER" ON THE DISPUTE OF OLIVENÇA BY THE DIÁRIO DE NOTÍCIAS The Diário de Notícias* (Lisbon) has been publishing a "dossier"by the journalist Carlos Albino on the Olivença dispute. The publication started on 27 November and will go on for several days, and will cover a number of aspects related to the conflict opposed by Portugal and Spain, as historical and legal arguments by both countries, as well as the annexation of the village of Vila Real and territory, alongside the Treaty of Badajoz; the problem of the rebuilding of the Nossa Senhora da Ajuda bridge; and the Spanish strategy of cultural assimilation and integration. This editorial project by the "DN" comes across as the largest journalistic coverage done in Portugal until now, on the Olivença dispute, by a national newspaper of large circulation. It's only comparable to what the "O Mundo Português" newspaper achieved in Brazil in the 1950's.
